De opening van het eerste Badhotel in Wijk aan Zee (1881) luidde een nieuw tijdperk in. De zee werd niet langer beschouwd als gevaarlijk; je kon er gezonde zeelucht opsnuiven, zonnebaden en je vanuit een badkoets laten onderdompelen in het zeewater. Wijker vissers legden zich voortaan toe op het toerisme.

De route gaat over het strand, door de duinen en langs Beeldenpark ‘Een zee van Staal’.

Honden zijn aangelijnd toegestaan.
